A Note from the Principal
Our last full week of school has come to a close. Please be on the lookout for a yellow summer envelope that has come, or will be coming home with your child. It has summer activities and opportunities for your child to help them with reading, math, science, etc. throughout the summer. We are doing things a little differently this year, so please be sure to read and understand what’s in the packet so your child doesn’t miss out on some fun activities and opportunities. To help you better understand everything in the packet, please visit pineriver.org and click on the SUMMER ACTIVITIES FOR ELEMENTARY STUDENTS picture on the right-hand side of the page.
“Be A Buck” Students
Congratulations to the following students who were recognized with a “Be A Buck” postcard during the week of June 5 – June 9, 2017:
We will not be offering summer school in our traditional way this year. This year each student has received or will be receiving a yellow envelope. Within the envelope, there are several different activities to help your child with reading and math as well as other subjects. There is a Pine River Summer Menu included in the packet that gives students several opportunities to earn tickets for doing different things throughout the summer. *To help parents better understand the packet, we have a video posted on our website. Visit pineriver.org and click on the SUMMER ACTIVITIES FOR ELEMENTARY STUDENTS picture on the right-hand side of the page.
As a part of our summer activities, everyone is invited to join us on July 19th from 9:00-11:00am at the Leroy Ball Pavilion for a summer adventure that will include reading, math, and science in a fun way. Lunch will also be provided. For more information, check out your child’s summer envelope or visit the website. Are you looking to support a great cause while promoting your business at the same time? Would you like to see all the neighborhood kids wearing your logo? We are looking for sponsors to donate money to buy our “Be A Buck” t-shirts starting next fall. The t-shirts are given to kids who practice our “Be A Buck” behavior expectations which are: Be Safe, Be Responsible, Be Respectful. If you choose to sponsor the t-shirts, your business logo will be added to the back of the t-shirts. If interested, please let Heidi Hayes, PRAE Principal know by calling 768-4481. Also remember to send us your business logo with your donation!
Bus Passes and Pick-Up Slips
Parents, due to the large numbers of bus transfers and pickup slips you MUST call by 12:00 noon in order for us to ensure that all children get to where they are supposed to go at the end of the day. Please include your child’s first and last name and their teacher’s name and the bus name if you know it. Thanks for your help and patience with this!
