Pine River Area Schools is proud to announce the appointment of Susan Stoll as a new PRAS board member replacing Mike Kelso who resigned in August. Susan is a retired teacher of PRAS, so many in our community may already know her well. In her interview, she discussed her love for Pine River Area Schools and our community, as well as the natural evolution of going from teacher to board member to continue her interest in educating our students. She discussed the need to make sure our students continue to have an excellent education, can function independently, are responsible and are ready to meet employers needs when they leave Pine River Area Schools. Superintendent Michelle Gill added that "We were thrilled to have two excellent candidates to interview, both of which would make excellent board members". Two additional candidates applied. However, one was unable to attend due to illness and one didn't meet the application deadline.
