Family Night took place at Pine River Elementary School this evening but pouring rain did not stop the fun. The gym and classrooms were filled with parents and students enjoying all kinds of different activities. The cafeteria was filled with families enjoying dinner and everyone was enjoying feeding the camel and goats. I am so grateful to be a part of this wonderful community. What fun!
Thank you so much to all who helped with the Pink Out volleyball game on Tuesday night! Over $1300 was raised to donate to the Susan P. Wheatlake Cancer Treatment Center. What a great night to be part of this community!

Congratulations to our Pine River students that were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society tonight! Agriscience and Natural Resources: Gavin Kelso and Nathan Marks, CNET: Levi Lloyd-Zeeryp, DMP: Mason Heilman, Health Science Careers: Miriam Johnson and Emily Lockhart, and Public Safety: Madyson Read. Great job!
The NHS-sponsored blood drive at the HS was very successful today! Students, staff, and community members donated a total of 32 units of whole blood and four double red donations. Thanks to all who donated, all the student volunteers, and to Versiti for helping the day go smoothly. We are looking forward to increasing our goal for the next blood drive and helping even more!

This week is America's Safe Schools Week! Today, I want to focus on some other vital employee training held in our district. Many of our employees and coaches have been trained in First Aid, AED and CPR. Most of these specialized trainings that employees receive are completed after their work days. I thank all of our employees for going above and beyond to keep our students and employees safe. Our students are our priority and our future! Go Bucks!
Please make plans to join as a community for our Pink Out 2023 on Tuesday, October 24th. Let's fill the bleachers to support those that have fought or are currently battling cancer.

This week is America's Safe Schools Week so each day I want to highlight something we do to promote safe schools. Today I want to focus on special training employees receive regarding student mental health and safety. Multiple employees have received training on Behavior Threat Assessment and Management. This week multiple employees also received crisis training from Michael's Place. Both of these trainings are essential in helping us identify needs and solutions to assist our students and staff. Our students are our priority and our future! Go Bucks!
