Happy last Friday of the 2023-2024 school year! This is Superintendent Michelle Gill writing. If you are interested in finding out more about our upcoming bond proposal, please plan to attend one of the following events:
LeRoy Township Meeting, June 4th, 7 p.m.
Pine River Bond Committee Meeting, June 5th, 4 p.m.
Luther Lions Meeting, June 5th , 6:30 p.m.
Rose Lake Township Meeting, June 5th, 7 p.m.
Burdell Township Meeting, June 11, 7 p.m.
Pine River Schools Community Forum, June 19, 5:30 p.m.
Pine River Area Schools will have a zero mill increase bond proposal on the August 6th ballot. The primary purpose for this bond is to replace the broken wastewater / septic system at the middle/high school building complex. The system still works but we don't know how long it will continue working, so it is imperative to replace it before it quits working. No septic = No School! This zero mill increase bond means that the current school millage rate will stay the same. The tax rate will not increase from the current levy with the passage of this bond. Previous bond funding added a fence and service road to the wastewater / septic lagoon. Now we must replace it to continue operations at the middle/high school building complex. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Thank you!

Congratulations and GOOD LUCK to our Buck of the week Madelynne Sterly.

Congratulations to the baseball team that advanced to the District Semi Finals with a win over Harrison. A special congratulations to Head Coach Shawn Ruppert who recorded his 700th win in the process! In true Coach Ruppert fashion he mentioned it to no one and I'm sure was hoping to keep it quiet.
We are fortunate to have the incredible consistency and experience that Coach Ruppert has established with our program.
